Outdoor Communion photos

Photography, like everything in life, has its tricks. If we focus exclusively on the Communion reports, where the model is a child, these tips are more specific.

Whether you have a reflex, compact or smartphone camera, if you are a fan of photography who likes to learn and you have an event coming up soon, this help can be very useful.

Avoid shooting indoors if you want good results

Do you want to shoot good photos indoors? Well, without adequate equipment and extensive lighting knowledge, it is very difficult to obtain good results, so we recommend that you look for beautiful exteriors.

If, on the other hand, you control the lights, the photometer, you understand the shutter... congratulations, you are not as beginner as you thought!

Shooting outdoors is easier!

If possible, avoid the hours when the sun is highest (noon). The light is stronger and causes very marked shadows. The best time is in the morning (not too late), but evening is not a bad time either, although the model will be more tired and there will be more people hindering your work.

Have fun playing with the frames

There are different frames in photography. Do not limit yourself to always doing the same thing and alternate between vertical or horizontal arrangement that will give you more play when designing a photo album, choosing several to print copies, creating a canvas that decorates your home...

Main planes in photography

There are many possible planes, but the most used for this type of report are:
• General shot (We see the whole body. Ideal for placing the model in a background that enhances the photo).
• American plane (From the head to the hands. Less background and more prominence of the model).
• Medium shot (seen from head to chest, ideal for portraiture).

Learn day by day, experiment!

You do not always have to center the protagonist (try placing him on both sides of the set or decorative elements).

When you take portraits, set the height of the camera to focus on the trunk of the model (they are smaller than us so you will have to bend down so that the image is not distorted).

Do not do the final framing with the camera! You can leave a little more image on the sides of your composition and thus you will have more material for a more thoughtful edition (you can try different framing, enlarge specific areas...)

Take advantage of the zoom of your camera

If you zoom with the lens of an SLR camera you will get spectacular portraits (the model's face will be in the foreground and the background will be out of focus) You can also simulate this technique by getting physically close to the model. But if you zoom with a mobile, it is most likely that it is digital and you will lose a lot of quality, avoid using it if possible.
